Sinus Lift (Sinus Augmentation)
A sinus lift, also known as sinus augmentation, is a specialized procedure designed to increase bone volume in the upper jaw, particularly in the area of the molars and premolars. This treatment is often necessary when there is not enough bone height beneath the sinus cavity to securely support a dental implant.
During the procedure, the sinus membrane is carefully lifted, and bone graft material is added to create a strong foundation for future implant placement. Once the grafted bone has healed and integrated—typically over several months—it provides the stability and density needed for successful, long-lasting dental implants.
